Rupert Brooke was an English poet, born in 1887 in Warwickshire. He was educated at Rugby School and King's College, Cambridge. Brooke's poetry is known for its beauty, idealism and the themes of love and death. He is often considered one of the most famous poets of the First World War, and his poems, such as "The Soldier" and "Peace", evoke the patriotic spirit of the era. Brooke died in 1915 during the Gallipoli campaign in World War I and is remembered as one of the war's most important and influential poets.
