Ella Wheeler Wilcox

Ella Wheeler Wilcox was an American poet, author and journalist. She was born in Johnstown, Wisconsin and began writing poetry at a young age. Her first poem was published in the New York Sun in 1872. She went on to publish several books of poetry, including "Poems of Passion" and "Poems of Power". Her poetry was known for its optimistic and motivational themes, and her work often dealt with issues of love, inspiration, and self-empowerment. Wilcox's work was highly respected in her time and she was considered one of the leading female poets of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. She was also a journalist and lecturer and was a vocal advocate for women's rights, social justice and world peace.
